HEALTH AND PE @ NUNDAH
At Nundah our goal is for our students to be healthy, safe and active citizens. Through the implementation of the Australian Curriculum we teach students critical inquiry skills so that they can research and analyse influences on their own and others health to make informed decisions. HPE is broken up into two strands: Personal, Social and Community Health and Movement and Physical Activity.

All students in Prep to year 6 participate in regular physical activity sessions with their class teacher and access a HPE specialist weekly. Swimming is a major focus in our HPE program with a swimming program run in Terms 1 and 4.
Sport @ Nundah
Sport provides an important balance to the academic and cultural side of school life. It enriches the growth of the students, especially with regard to fitness, teamwork, leadership, initiative and resilience. Throughout the year students participate in inter-house cross country, athletics and swimming carnivals. There are also opportunities for year 4 – 6 students to participate in inter-school Gala Day Competitions twice per year.
Sports we offer at Nundah:
Australian Rules Football
Flipper Ball (modified water polo)
District sport @ Nundah
Nundah State School is affiliated with the City District Primary School Sport Association. This association oversees all sporting matters at the district level.
