What are the learning options available to my child during school closure?
Learning@home with Nundah
Nundah will be using OneNote as the online platform for learning. This was chosen as it is already in use in some of our classrooms and thus familiar to many students E.g. year 5 and 6 Japanese. If you do not have a device, provision has been made for you to use a school device at home as required. If you do not have connectivity or have requested paper versions of learning, these are also being made available. Students who are at home and at school will be working through the same online content prepared by their own teacher or a teacher on that year level.
Learning@school with Nundah
Students of essential workers who are attending school will be working through the same online content as those working from home. They will be using their own BYO device or a school device while supervised by specialist teachers and teaching assistants. They will be in age appropriate groups, adhering to updated social distancing regulations in schools, and so may not be working in their regular classroom. Like those learning at home, they will also receive a weekly check-in with their classroom teacher. Most of the core online learning will take place in the morning and middle session with the afternoons used for other learning opportunities. Most other school routines will remain the same.
